Your grooming pickup checklist

Before leaving a grooming appointment, compare the result with the service you agreed: the coat and drying, included nails and ear work, paw or sanitary tidying and any chosen style. Ask which items were completed, which were deferred and whether there is anything to follow up. At PGH in Subang Jaya, a bath for a 0–2 kg dog is RM35 and a basic groom for the same weight is RM60; a short-coat cat's basic groom is RM90–110. Those prices buy different work, so the correct checklist starts with your quote rather than every item on the menu. A nervous pet may not finish everything, and PGH's terms allow stopping with completed work charged. Raise a concern calmly while the team can examine it with you. Keep the receipt and service details so any later conversation is specific and easy to follow.

What did I actually book?

Check the dog menu or cat menu against your quote. A wash and dry is not a whole-body haircut. A basic groom is not automatically a full scissor style.

Example service Published PGH price Compare against
Dog bath, 0–2 kg RM35 Wash and dry
Basic dog groom, 0–2 kg RM60 Listed basic-groom inclusions
Basic cat groom, short coat under 5 kg RM90–110 Listed cat basic-groom inclusions

Prices checked October 2026. Final quotes depend on the pet and chosen service. Optional treatments should be discussed separately.

What should I look at with the groomer?

  • Coat and drying: ask the groomer to show how the coat has been dried, including areas beneath a dense outer coat.
  • The chosen finish: compare the agreed length and shape. Coat condition may limit the result; ask what changed and why.
  • Included hygiene work: ask about nails, ears, paws and sanitary tidying only where part of your service.
  • Anything deferred: get a clear account of unfinished items rather than assuming they were forgotten.
  • Observations: ask what was noticed on the skin or coat and whether veterinary assessment was suggested.

Keep the conversation gentle and brief if your pet is unsettled. Do not pull at sore skin or inspect inside the ear canal yourself.

What if the result differs from the reference photo?

Separate a style preference from a missed agreed item. Explain the specific difference and ask what can reasonably be adjusted. A photo is useful, but a different coat, matting or handling tolerance can limit the same shape.

PGH offers one touch-up within 48 hours, excluding major changes. Ask the team how those terms apply to your concern; this is not a promise of a refund or a different full groom.

What if I notice something after going home?

Take clear photos and message PGH with the visit date, pet's name, service and what you noticed. Keep the discussion about the observable issue and ask for the next step.

If the concern involves pain, injury or illness, contact a vet promptly rather than waiting for a cosmetic adjustment or a shop reply. Share the concern with PGH as well; a photo alone cannot establish the cause.

For the next appointment, use the first grooming visit guide to agree the service, quote, handling concerns and collection arrangements before work starts.

Questions we get asked

Should I expect every item on the menu to be included?

No. Compare the work with the service you agreed, not the whole menu. A bath, basic groom and styling service have different inclusions.

What if an item could not be completed?

Ask what was deferred, why, what was charged and what the next step is. PGH may stop work if a pet is aggressive or uncooperative, and charges for work completed.

How can I raise a concern after collection?

WhatsApp +6010 203 6088 with the visit date, pet's name, service and clear photos. Ask for a review of the work and the next step; contact a vet promptly about a health concern.
