Your pet's first grooming visit in Subang Jaya starts before the bath: send the groomer your pet's breed, weight, coat photos, requested service and any behaviour or health concerns. At PGH in Main Place Mall, USJ 21, published starting prices include a dog bath from RM35, a basic dog groom from RM60, a basic cat groom from RM90 and a kitten groom from RM60. The coat assessment and chosen service determine the final quote, which is confirmed before work begins. Ask what is included, which treatments are optional and when to expect collection. A booked slot does not guarantee a fixed finishing time or that every nervous pet can complete every item. At pickup, compare the result with the agreed service and ask about anything deferred. This guide explains what owners can prepare, confirm and check without needing to know grooming terminology.
What should I send when booking?
Use PGH's booking contact to send:
- Dog or cat, breed and current weight.
- Clear coat photos, including any knots or particularly oily areas.
- The service or style you want; a reference photo helps explain the shape.
- Past difficulties with brushing, drying, nail trimming or unfamiliar people.
- Health concerns, sore areas or vet instructions that could affect handling.
- Your preferred date and a phone number the team can reach during the session.
Describe what happened previously rather than simply calling a pet "good" or "difficult". That gives the team something useful to assess.
How do I agree on the service and price?
A bath and a basic groom are different services. A basic groom includes the listed hygiene work; a body shave or hand-scissored style involves additional work. Check the dog grooming menu or cat grooming menu together with the groomer.
| Published starting service | PGH price |
|---|---|
| Dog bath, 0–2 kg | RM35 |
| Basic dog groom, 0–2 kg | RM60 |
| Basic cat groom, short coat under 5 kg | RM90–110 |
| Kitten groom, under 2 kg | RM60–80 |
Prices checked October 2026. These examples are not quotes for every pet. Coat condition, size, behaviour and chosen work affect the final price.
Your groomer explains the service and price and gets your approval before starting. Any additional work or charge also needs your approval before proceeding.
Ask why an extra is suggested, what it costs and whether a simpler service would meet your goal. Confirm how any change discovered during grooming will be discussed before it proceeds.
What if my pet is nervous?
Tell the team before arrival, including any previous biting, scratching or distress. PGH does not sedate cats. Its grooming terms allow work to stop if a pet is aggressive or uncooperative, with completed work charged. A shorter or unfinished session is possible; do not assume a reference photo overrides safe handling.
For cats, read whether cats like grooming. Ask your vet about a health concern that may make grooming unsuitable.
When can I collect my pet?
Ask for an estimate at drop-off and the best way to confirm a revised time. A coat with knots, a detailed style or a pet needing breaks can take longer. Keep your phone available and avoid scheduling a tightly timed journey immediately after the estimate.
What should I check before leaving?
Ask what was completed, check the agreed finish and discuss any concern while the team can look at it with you. Our grooming pickup checklist covers drying, the listed hygiene work, style and follow-up details.
PGH is on the ground floor of Main Place Mall. Find the location and parking information before the visit.
Questions we get asked
- What should I send before a first grooming visit?
Send the species, breed, current weight, coat photos, requested service and preferred date. Explain past reactions to grooming and any health or handling concerns.
- Does an appointment guarantee a finish time?
No. Ask for an estimated collection time and how to obtain an updated estimate. Coat condition, the service and the pet's response can change the duration.
- Can every grooming item always be completed?
No. PGH may stop if a pet is aggressive or uncooperative, and charges for completed work. Ask which items were completed or deferred before leaving.
