For late visits, SubangVet SS14 lists 7pm to 10:30pm daily and Taipan Vet is open until 9pm on weekdays. No clinic in Subang Jaya lists 24-hour opening. The nearest 24-hour hospitals are AMC on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, and Starlight in Ampang. All hours below were checked on Google Maps on 18 October 2026. Clinics change hours on public holidays, so phone before you drive.
PGH is a grooming and boarding business in USJ 21, not a vet. We list these clinics because owners ask us where to go when a groom or a hotel check-in turns up a problem. We have no business arrangement with any of them.

Which vet in Subang Jaya is open late or on Sunday?
For an evening problem, two clinics give you the most time:
- SubangVet SS14 lists an evening session from 7pm to 10:30pm every day, including Sunday.
- Taipan Veterinary Clinic & Surgery is open until 9pm Monday to Friday.
On Sunday most clinics close early. Dr Zawani Animal Clinic keeps its weekday hours (to 7:30pm), Aida Veterinary Clinic USJ 1 is open until 8pm, and Faith Veterinary Clinic, USJ Animal Clinic and Healing Rooms close between 1:30pm and 4:30pm. Klinik Veterinar Mayo is closed on Sunday.
Mind the weekday closures too: The Vet Alley is closed on Monday, Exocare on Tuesday, Zen Animal Clinic on Wednesday and Aida Veterinary Clinic on Saturday.
Is there a 24-hour vet near Subang Jaya?
Not in Subang Jaya itself. None of the clinics above lists 24-hour opening on Google Maps. The nearest 24-hour animal hospitals we found are across the city:
| Hospital | Address | Phone | Hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Animal Medical Center (AMC) | 8 Jalan Tun Razak, Sentul Selatan, Kuala Lumpur | 03-4042 6742 | Open 24 hours |
| Starlight Veterinary Hospital | 30 Jalan Sulaiman 1, Taman Ampang Hilir, Ampang | 012-779 1598 | Open 24 hours |
Hours checked on Google Maps, 18 October 2026.
At night, phone before you set off. A hospital can tell you whether to come in, and it can prepare for your arrival. Save one of these numbers in your phone now, while nothing is wrong.
When does my pet need a vet the same day?
Go straight to a vet, or phone one, if your dog or cat:
- has trouble breathing, or breathes with its mouth open (a cat should never pant at rest)
- collapses, has a seizure, or cannot stand
- strains in the litter tray without passing urine, especially a male cat
- vomits repeatedly, or vomits and refuses food and water
- has pale or white gums, or bleeds and the bleeding does not stop
- was hit by a car or fell from a height, even if it seems fine
- ate something poisonous, such as rat bait, chocolate, lilies (cats), grapes or raisins (dogs), or human painkillers
This list is general guidance from a grooming and boarding team, not veterinary advice. When in doubt, phone the clinic.
Which vets in Subang Jaya see rabbits, birds and exotic pets?
Three clinics say so in their listings. SubangVet SS14 calls itself an exotic and companion centre. Zen Animal Clinic in SS15 sees dogs, cats and exotics. Exocare Veterinary Medical Centre in SS16 focuses on exotic small animals. Ask on the phone whether the vet on duty that day treats your species.
Is there a government vet clinic for Subang Jaya?
Yes. Subang Jaya and USJ fall under the Petaling district veterinary office at Jalan PJU 10/1E, Damansara Damai, Petaling Jaya, tel 03-6140 2979. It charges subsidised fees for vaccination, rabies shots and neutering, but keeps office hours and is not for emergencies. See our guide to government vet clinics in Selangor and our vaccine and neutering cost guide for prices.
What does a vet visit have to do with grooming and boarding?
Groomers often spot problems first: ticks, fleas, ringworm patches, ear infections, lumps and sore teeth. At PGH we tell you what we see and suggest a vet visit, but we do not diagnose or treat. For hotel stays, bring your pet's vaccination record and tell us about any medication. Flea, tick and mite prevention is compulsory at check-in. Read our vaccination rules for pet hotels, or see pet hotel and grooming. PGH is in USJ 21, Subang Jaya: how to get here.
