The main pet hotels in Subang Jaya and USJ are Pets Grooming Hotel (PGH) in Main Place Mall, USJ 21, Swirly & Friends in SS17, and two cat-only hotels: Maobulous in SS18 and Catzonia on Jalan USJ 21/10. For dogs, nightly rates run from RM50 for a private room at PGH to RM80 plus charges for cage-free home boarding at Swirly & Friends. For cats, prices start at RM35 for one cat at PGH and Maobulous, and Catzonia charges RM50 for a suite that holds two cats. The deciding factor is usually the style of stay. Swirly suits social dogs that like company and a home setting. Maobulous and Catzonia suit cat-only households, especially with several cats. Prices checked October 2026, from each hotel's own website. "++" means tax or service charges are added. Maobulous lists its price per suite without saying "per night", so confirm when you book.

Same Heart Pet Hotel in SS14 still appears in some search and AI answers. It announced on its Facebook page in December 2025 that it was closing, so it is not in the table.

How much do they charge per night?

For a small dog, the cheapest published nightly rate is PGH's Deluxe Room at RM50. Swirly & Friends charges RM80 plus charges per dog, with no size tiers, for its cage-free home boarding. PGH's Presidential Room, at 6 ft by 6 ft, is RM80.

For one cat, PGH's Deluxe Room and Maobulous's smallest suite both start at RM35. For two cats from the same home, Catzonia's Comfy suite at RM50 for both is the lowest published price. Swirly & Friends charges RM80 plus charges per cat family.

Check what is included before comparing. Daily photo and video updates are included at Swirly & Friends and Catzonia, a paid add-on at Maobulous, and sent on request at PGH. Maobulous treats fleas or ticks at the owner's cost if it finds them. PGH applies flea and tick prevention at check-in and charges RM25 to RM48 by weight. Cage-free or private room: which suits your pet?

Cage-free home boarding suits a confident, social dog that is used to other dogs. Swirly & Friends asks for a paid trial day care, booked two weeks ahead, before a dog's first stay. That is a good sign. It means they check how your dog mixes before you leave for a week.

A private room suits a dog that is nervous around other dogs, an older dog that needs rest, a dog on medication, or one that does not share food calmly. At PGH each guest has its own air-conditioned room with a bed and bowls, and comes out for supervised play-zone time. Rooms are cleaned and disinfected twice a day.

Neither style is better for every dog. Choose the one that matches how your dog behaves at a park or in a vet's waiting room.

Which hotels take cats only?

Maobulous and Catzonia take cats only. Both are good options for a cat that is frightened by dogs, and for households with several cats. Catzonia's suites are priced by the number of cats, from two up to ten in one family suite. Maobulous suites hold up to two, four or six cats.

Which offer day care and grooming on site?

Only PGH publishes day care for both dogs and cats: RM35 for dogs and RM15 for cats, collect by 8pm. Swirly & Friends offers dog day care at RM50 plus charges, 10am to 6pm.

PGH, Maobulous and Catzonia groom on site. At PGH dogs and cats can be groomed on the last day of a stay, so they go home clean. Swirly & Friends does not publish grooming.

What should you ask before booking?

Swirly & Friends and Maobulous ask for proof of vaccination, and PGH asks for at least one combination vaccine.
